The Ted Lucas Foundation and Miami-Dade County Commissioner Barbara Jordan have partnered up for the yearly “Feeding Our Families” Thanksgiving Drive, delivering healthy Thanksgiving baskets to needy families in Miami Gardens on Monday, November 19. The aim is not only to provide delicious meals for the holiday, but to also to educate families about choosing healthier alternatives for the holiday season.

This is the third year that record executive and president of Slip-N-Slide Records Ted Lucas, born and raised in Miami Gardens, has participated in the Thanksgiving Drive with Commissioner Jordan. In partnership with Winn-Dixie supermarkets, the Foundation and its volunteers will help provide food items and distribution assistance to approximately 100 underserved families in Miami Gardens, with the goal of providing healthier alternatives for Thanksgiving meals.
